1. Steel structure — galvanized S350

The heart of a FormaHaus is a structure of cold-formed profiles from galvanized S350 steel. Steel doesn't rust, doesn't warp, doesn't burn and isn't susceptible to pests or fungi — unlike wood. That's why we offer 50 years of warranty on the structure.

2. Prefabrication — factory precision, build speed

The structure is largely prefabricated in the factory. Benefits:

• Standardized elements — millimeter-level repeatability
• Production independent of weather
• Optimized production costs
• Shortened build time (3 months from groundbreaking to move-in)

3. Exterior wall construction

A FormaHaus exterior wall consists of three layers:

1. Interior side: OSB, CETRIS, drywall or FERMACELL
2. Load-bearing layer: Steel structure from S350 profiles
3. Exterior side: PIR sandwich panels

4. PIR sandwich panels — exterior shell

Panels with a PIR (polyisocyanurate) insulating core — one of the most energy-efficient insulations on the market.

5. Interior insulation — PUR foam

Cavities in the wall structure are filled with polyurethane (PUR) foam — airtight insulation with no thermal bridges. Used as open-cell or closed-cell.

Open-cell PUR (breathable)

• λ = 0.036 – 0.040 W/(m·K)
• Density: 8 – 12 kg/m³
• Vapor permeability μ = 3 – 5 (breathable)
• Use: interiors, attics, partition walls

Closed-cell PUR (vapor-tight)

• λ = 0.020 – 0.025 W/(m·K)
• Density: 30 – 60 kg/m³
• Vapor permeability μ = 30 – 100 (vapor barrier)
• Water absorption: < 2%
• Use: exterior insulation, foundation, roof

6. Interior finishing

Two options:

• Drywall (GK): standard, smooth surfaces, easy processing
• FIBO system panels: modern alternative, higher durability, faster installation, better acoustic insulation
